2026 special rates for federal law enforcement
OPM approved these special rate tables under 5 U.S.C. 5305. Each area has two: one for covered positions that meet the law enforcement officer definition (tables L001–L059, supplement applied to the GL rates at GL-3 to GL-10) and one for other covered law enforcement personnel (tables L060–L118, supplement applied to the GS base rates). In the Rest of U.S. area the supplement is 20.30%, against a 17.06% locality payment.
